Welcome to my website!
If you're here you're either one of my friends or someone that's interested in hiring me. Either or, welcome to this website I've programmed with my own two hands! I'm particularly proud of makin' this so feel free to explore around. Above this chunk of text is the nav bar which will lead you to seperate parts of the site.
The [HOME] button will take you back to this page, in case you ever want to reread what I have to say here.[BLOG POSTS] will take you to a bunch of seperate blog posts (who would've guessed) that range from game development to random tidbits of my personal life. The [BUSINESS] button will take you to a portfolio of my more "presentable" work along with some info about what I can offer as a potential hiree.
With navigation talk out of the way, let's talk a bit about me shall we :]c
Who the heck are you again?
I'm so glad you asked! I go by KC, but you might know me by one of my online aliases, Sleepy and Eckotic. My main personality traits are my undying love for mangoes, the color orange, and the two popular block games marketed to children (Roblox and Minecraft). I've been doing game development since I was like eight years old, but I have gotten a tad rusty as of late due to post-secondary grabbing me by the neck and taking up most of my waking hours.
What do you do?
In terms of programming languages, I do... quite a bit. I've worked with:
- Java
- C/C++/C#
- Kotlin
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- PHP
- GDScript
My proficiency varies from language to language, but the ones I'm most familiar with would definitely be the Web Development Trio (HTML/CSS/JavaScript). I am learning GDScript to make games in Godot though! Heres to hoping that I become as comfortable with Godot as I am with Visual Studio Code (the thing I'm using to make this website).
If you were referring to what I do for my hobbies, I do baking every so often! I specialize in cookies cause they're easy for me to make and I've slowly been perfecting my recipe as I figure out the nuances of airfryer cookies. I also play D&D on a relatively weekly basis. I play with my friends from either highschool or university. And last but not least, I play Roblox... an ungodly amount of Roblox...
How did you get a whole website?
I bought eckotic.ca off of a domain seller called Porkbun for like nine bucks (yearly charge) and I deploy this website's code using Github Pages (for free)! My only issue with my set up is the fact that I have ZERO access to server-sided tools and libraries, so the blog posts need to be updated manually with zero automation :[
